In
Vickie's own words, she has known since approximately 14 years of
age that there was a calling on her life to live for the Lord and
work for Him, although she did not realize at what magnitude that
calling would be. At the age of 4, Vickie's parents encouraged her
to sing at church. A love for music has been a part of her life
ever since. As Vickie grew, so did her ambitions. Around age 8 or
9, Vickie developed a desire to learn to play the piano and began
taking piano lessons.
After about 4 years of piano lessons, Vickie developed the ability
to play without music (by "ear"). "One day",
Vickie says, "it all made sense to me". It was during
this period of her life that Vickie attended a revival at which
an evangelist prophesied over her, saying that God would bless Vickie
even more if she would let Him use her.
Soon after that revival, Vickie and her sister won first place
in the State competition at the annual Church of God talent contest
(in 1978) and also competed in the Nationals in Texas. Two years
later, Vickie helped form a gospel group and sang in surrounding
churches for the next 5 years.
According to Vickie, "It seems as though my working for Him
has come full circle. Once again, I'm traveling in my own group,
writing songs, and sharing the gospel in song with others. My heart's
desire is to perform gospel music for his honor and glory. I desire
to lift His name, pray with people for answer to their prayers and
believe that God still changes lives today. My goal through this
ministry is to encourage the saved, be a witness to the lost, and
be a spotless bride for my Lord, Jesus Christ, when he comes back
to take us home.
Vickie is married to Mike Andrews.

Tawan
was born and raised in Bainbridge, Georgia. Tawan has been singing
since she could talk. Tawan's family had a group called "The
Tonemasters Quartet". Tawan began traveling with The Tonemasters
Quartet when she was very young and started singing on stage with
them when she was 8 years old and has been included in several albums.
"One of the greatest events that I can remember", Tawan
says, "was singing at the Grand Old Opry in Nashville, Tennessee
in 1974." Tawan goes on to say "I just want to thank my
Lord Jesus Christ for allowing me to sing His praises."
Tawan is married to Joe Barber. Although the couple doesn't have
any children, they do have a cocker spaniel named "Buffy".

I was raised in church and never remember a day that I didn't
sing. My earliest memories of church are singing in the choir. My
mother tells me that at the age of 2 years, I could hear, and sing,
harmony. As the years passed, I came to realize that my talents
were God given and that in order to please Him, I must use my abilities
to glorify His name. When I was 13 years old, along with my mother
and sister, we formed a southern gospel group and started traveling
from church to church every single weekend. When I graduated from
high school, I continued singing with them for 3 more years but
eventually had to leave the group at the age of 19 to go to Lee
College and complete my education degree. While there, the Lord
granted me the opportunity to sing with the Lee College Campus Choir
and continue my ministry through them.
It seems that as my life has taken different paths over the years,
all those paths lead back to ministry. I am most thankful to God
for His blessings on my life and His continuous love and faithfulness.
Without Him, everything that I do and every note that I sing would
be in vain. It is my desire to be a blessing to someone no matter
where I go and that God would receive all of the glory that is due
Him.
I currently live in Colquitt, teach 6th grade Science, and play
the piano for my local church. I am happily married to Jimmy Phillips,
and together we have two beautiful daughters, Megan and Kayln. The
youngest member of our family is our spoiled rotton chihuahua named
Ginger.
